Antique fob chains are incredibly difficult to find. It's difficult to say whether this piece is an actual antique or a modern (but still vintage) reproduction. We ARE certain that the clasp itself is modern, which makes dating the entire piece difficult.

This 12" fob chain is gold-filled and today would likely be worn as a necklace. Its short length is what 's considered a jewel neckline, which typically falls at the collar of a dress or tee-shirt.
